The final judges' points were tallied while Emily Drahnak, 2008 Cambria County Fair Queen, addressed the audience and introduced the judges and visiting queens.  Mr. Ray Lenz, President of the Cambria County American Legion Recreation Association thanked everyone for their continued support of the fair and their participation in the various activities the fair has to offer.  Gabby Hertzog, 2009 Cambria County Fair Dairy Princess was also introduced.  Emily then announced the 2009 fair queen contest winners.   Jenna Skubik was chosen as the 1st Runner Up.  Jenifer Veneskey was chosen as Princess and Janelle Wills was chosen as the 2009 Cambria County Fair Queen.  Mr. and Mrs. Dan Decker of Decker Diamond Jewelers of Ebensburg donated the lovely crowns.  Dan Decker had the honor of crowning Janelle while his wife Fran crowned Jenifer.  The beautiful roses were donated by Rouses's Floral Shop in Ebensburg.

Since becoming Fair Queen Coordinator, I have been very impressed with the young women that have entered our competition.  Whether being crowned or having to wait for another year the girls have been wonderful.

I would like to send a special Thank You to our two "Emily Queens,"  Emily Yarnish (2007-2008) and Emily (Drahnak) Steberger (2008-2009).  This year, I was able to put the Fair Queen Competition in their capable hands and they "Picked up the ball and ran with it." Thank You Ladies!

I would especially like to thank Mr. Bob Swales, the Clearfield County Fair Queen Coordinator, Miss Leah Carr, 2009 State Fair Queen Alternate and Miss Rachael Syktich, 2009-2010 Clearfield County Fair Queen for adding elegance to our Fair Queen competition.  You helped us add another level to our competition.

Thank You to our "Fearless Leader" for suggesting we use the tent, it worked perfectly!  Thank You All!
