IN BLOOMSBURG AT THE BLOOMSBURG FAIR ON
OCTOBER 2, 2010 AT 7:00 PM
CAMBRIA COUNTY FAIRGROUNDS
DEMOLITION DERBY RULES & REGULATIONS
1. A.) COMPACT CAR - Any factory stock American or foreign auto with 105-inch or less wheel base. Four cylinder engines only.
B.) FULL SIZE CAR - Any factory stock American made auto or station wagon is permitted. No Chrysler Imperials
2. No Jeeps, SUV'S, trucks or 4-wheel drive vehicles will be permitted to enter.
3. No "Checkered Cabs" or other specialty vehicles.
4. All drivers are required to wear an approved safety helmet. Full face helmets are recommended. Safety belts are required and Must be worn until the heat is completed. (Factory installed shoulder straps are recommended), Drivers must stay in their cars with helmet and belts on until the event is over. Car and Driver will be disqualified for the evening if the driver unhooks seat belts or removes the helmet during the event while under green.
5. All dirt, glass and loose parts must be removed from the car. Do Not break the glass in the doors.
6. All glass including head and tail lights and side markers must be removed prior to coming to the track. The windshield must be removed. No lights, sirens or other noise making devices may be in or on the car. Nothing over 4 inches may be mounted over roof or trunk or hood.
7. All chrome molding, rear seat, sun visors, rear view mirrors and head liners must be removed along with carpet and padding.
8. All exterior plastic including the grill and the factory nose piece must be removed.
9. The stock gas tank must be removed.
10. A maximum of 3 gallons of gasoline (NO ALCOHOL) will be allowed. A 5 gallon metal (approved) gas tank must be securely fastened in the area vacated by the rear seat. An approved plastic marine tank will be permitted. The tank must have a fuel line type fitting. No rubber tie down straps will be permitted.
11. No modification or reinforcement will be permitted to the car body, frame or suspension:
EXCEPTIONS
A. Optional bar behind the drives seat from door post to door post. Maximum bar diameter is 3 inches and must be welded into place.
B. Car bumpers only on cars and Pick up bumpers only on the pickups. Bumper shocks may be welded, as may the bumper bracket, however they must be in the stock location with no reinforcements, plates or gussets. Chains or cables are not permitted around the bumpers.
12. Inner driver door padding is required.
13. No bumper or frame mounted hitches will be permitted.
14. A working, hydraulic operated brake, system is mandatory.
15. Hood, trunk and station wagon inner decks must be visible for inspection.
16. Hood and trunk must be secured after inspection. (A maximum of places on the hood and four on the trunk). A minimum 1/4 inch chair or cable (no dog type chain), and a maximum 3/8 inch chain or cable. No Xing of chains or cable on the trunk or hood. No ready rod to frame connections, Hood pins are permitted through the body only, with a maximum 3/4 inch diameter and must not stick up more than 1 1/2 inches above the hood.
17. The driver is permitted four - 4 X 4 plates, 1/4 inch thick maximum on the doors, trunk lid or tailgate.
18. There must be a hole in the hood that measures 12 inches in diameter above the carburetor.
19. All doors must be fastened shut by a horizontal solid steel strap, chains or cables. Chains or cables must be a minimum 1/4 inches diameter with a maximum of 3/8 inch. Solid welding of doors or tailgates will not be allowed.
20. No forward facing exhaust. Any engine in the car must be in stock location. The 4-cylinder class must be 4-cylinder.
21. The battery must be securely fastened to the front passenger door board. Rubber tie down straps are not permitted. The top of the battery must be covered with a secured rubber mat.
22. All cooling systems must be original equipment or less and must be located in the engine compartment under the hood. No cooling systems fluids (motor oil, transmission or water) are permitted in the driver's compartment. No auxiliary tanks are permitted. Electric fans are permitted but steel fan blades are not permitted.
23. All air conditioning systems must be drained and rubber hoses removed prior to arrival at track.
24. ALL CARS must have 18 inch high numbers clearly painted on the roof, and each door. Questionable language will not be permitted on cars. The Track Officials decision is final.
25. Anyone found striking the door of another car will result in disqualification.
26. Any car that does not move or strike a LIVE car within I minute will be disqualified. Officials will shut down any car which is deemed a safety risk, (excessive smoking or throwing debris from spinning tires).
27. Heat winners may run a car which has been in the current derby. Car and/or driver can only qualify once unless the car has been disqualified for the evening.
28. A 5 MPH speed limit must be maintained at all times in the pit area, parking lot and driveways.
29. Passengers are not permitted to ride on or in the demolition derby cars at any time. This includes pit areas, parking lots, and driveways.
30. Drivers, Officials and Towing Personnel are the only people permitted on the track.
31. Only 4 ply passenger or 6 ply LT tires, DOT approved may be used, with only one tire per wheel. Studs are not permitted and no split rims. Wheel weights must be removed. Air only in the tires.
32. No Alcoholic beverages or intoxicated people are permitted in the Pits. Alcohol will be confiscated and intoxicated parties ejected and possibly arrested.
33. A current drivers' license must be presented by all drivers at registration.
34. Children under the age of 12 will not be permitted to enter the pit area Children 12 and over WILL NOT be permitted into the pit area WITHOUT parental supervision "AND" the signed Release and Waiver of Liability and Indemnity Agreement.
35. All demolition derby cars must be removed from the racetrack within one hour after competition has ended and from the fairgrounds by 1:00 a.m.
36. All persons in the pit areas must display the official wristband for the event or they will be asked to leave the pit area.
37. All drivers must wear eye protection in the form of goggles or a face shield. Regular eye glasses will not meet this requirement.
38. Tailgates must be removed and chains or cables used with a minimum of 1/4 inch in four spots through the bed and around the frame in addition to stock bolts.
39.. Fuel tanks should be in the bed located in the front center of the bed.
40. No lift kits, suspension lift kits or modifications of any kind.
41. NO excessive body bending especially in the trunk area.

CAMBRIA COUNTY FAIR RULES
1. All pre-registration will be handled at the fair office in Ebensburg. Office hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
2. ALL DRIVERS, AT THE TIME OF REGISTRATION, MUST present their drivers license AND SIGN A RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT.
3. Entry Fee is $20.00 per car, which includes the driver and the car.
4. All persons in the pit must wear the official wristband.
5. There is a $15.00 Fee to enter the Pit.
6. NO PERSONS WILL BE PERMITTED INTO THE PIT AREA WITHOUT THE SIGNED RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT. CHILDREN UNDER THE AGE OF 12 WILL NOT BE PERMITTED IN THE PIT AREA. CHILDREN 12 AND OVER WILL NOT BE PERMITTED IN THE PIT AREA WITHOUT PARENTAL SUPERVISION, AND THE SIGNED RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT.
7. The vehicle hauling the demo car will not be charged a parking fee.
8. Registration will close 30 minutes before the start of the event. The presiding judge can only approve late entries.
9. THE DECISION OF THE OFFICIALS WILL BE FINAL.
10. ALCOHOLIC BEVERAGES ARE NOT PERMITTED.

IN CONSIDERATION of being permitted to enter for any purpose any RESTRICTED AREA (herein defined as including but not limited to the racing surface, pit areas, infield, burn out area, approach area, shut down area, and all walkways, concessions and other areas appurtenant to any area where any activity related to the event shall take place), or being permitted to compete, officiate, observe, work for, or for any purpose participate in any way in the event, EACH OF THE UNDERSIGNED, for himself, his personal representatives, heirs, and next of kin, acknowledges, agrees, and represents that he has, or will immediately upon entering any of such restricted areas, and will continuously thereafter, inspect such restricted areas and all portions thereof which he enters and with which he comes in contact, and he does further warrant that his entry upon such restricted area or areas and his participation, if any, in the event constitutes an acknowledgement that he has inspected such restricted area and that he finds and accepts the same as being safe and reasonable suited for the purposes of his use, and he further agrees and warrants that if, at any time, he is in or about restricted areas and he feels anything to be unsafe, he will immediately advise the officials of such and will leave the restricted areas:
1. HEREBY RELEASES, WAIVES DISCHARGES AND COVENANTS NOT TO SUE the promoter, participants, racing association, sanctioning organization or any subdivision thereof, track operator, track owner, officials, car owners, drivers, pit crews, any persons in any restricted area, promoters, sponsors, advertisers, owners, and lessees of premises used to conduct the event and each of them, their officers and employees, all for the purposes herein referred to as "releasees", from all liability to the undersigned, his personal representatives, assigns, heirs, and next of kin for any and all loss of damage, and any claim or demands therefore on account of injury to the person or property or resulting in death of the undersigned, whether caused by the negligence of the releasees or otherwise while the undersigned is in or upon the restricted area, and /or, competing, officiating in, observing, working for, or for any purpose participating in the event.
2. HEREBY AGREES TO INDEMNIFY AND SAVE AND HOLD HARMLESS the releasees and each of them from any loss, liability, damage, or cost they may incur due to the presence of the undersigned in or upon the restricted area or in any way competing, officiating, observing, or working for, or for any purpose participating in the event and whether caused by the negligence of the releasees or otherwise.
3. HEREBY ASSUMES FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR AND RISK OF BODILY INJURY, DEATH OR PROPERTY DAMAGE due to the negligence of releasees or otherwise while in or upon the restricted area and/or while competing, officiating, observing, or working for or for any purpose participating in the event.
THE UNDERSIGNED further expressly agrees that the foregoing release, waiver, and indemnity agreement is intended to be as broad and inclusive as is permitted by the law of the Province or State in which the event is conducted and that if any portion thereof is held invalid, it is agreed that the balance shall notwithstanding, continue in full legal force and effect.
THE UNDERSIGNED HAS READ AND VOLUNTARILY SIGNS THE RELEASE AND WAIVER OF LIABILITY AND INDEMNITY AGREEMENT, and further agrees that no oral representations, statements orinducements apart from the foregoing written agreement have been made.
