Hypertufa and Growing Hardy Succulents

Join the Penn State Master Gardeners of Cambria County for their Hypertufa and Growing Hardy Succulents workshop. Hypertufa troughs are made from Portland cement, Perlite, and peat moss which results in a lightweight container. Information about the types of plants and soil for hypertufa-made troughs will be part of the hands-on workshop.

  • Types of succulents that are winter hardy
  • Soil for hypertufa-made troughs
This event will be held in the Ag Annex Building on the fairgrounds. Gate passes will be provided to participants to enter the fairgrounds.

Message: We have attended the Cambria County Fair every year on Labor Day for a family gathering and the end of summer outting with the family. We enjoy going and having so much fun just walking around and riding the rides. Keep it going bc we dont want it to end at all.

Message: I love the fair. I've been coming since 1960 and I have wonderful memories since then. I only wish people who just walk around the fair looking at everything didn't have to pay the 8 dollars.

Message: This fair has been a part of my life since I was a baby. My great grandmother had a stand there for years (Mom's Diner". My mother worked at that stand when she was in high school. This fair is a large part of my fondest memories!
